Puppy Socialisation and Training classes

For vaccinated puppies between the ages of 11 to 18 weeks old at the start of course

The puppy course lasts for 6 weeks. There are 7 sessions, each being 45 minutes long. The first class is an Introduction night (without your puppy). That usually takes place on the day before the course starts.

This introductory night allows us to explain what we will be doing during the next 6 weeks of classes, what you need to bring to the class, a demonstration with our own dog, lots of helpful information and a question-and-answer session.

Using kind and gentle methods, we will show you how to:

Get them to sit, lie down and stand on command
Bring them back to you when you call them (recall)
Teach them to stay in one place for a short period of time
Socialise them with other dogs and people
Get them to willingly give you a toy or anything in their possession
Meet and greet people in a socially acceptable manner e.g. not jumping up
Teach them to walk beside you on a loose lead, without pulling
Achieve the Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Assessment Award

All our classes have a maximum of 6 puppies per course.
This allows our experienced instructors to give plenty of 1 to 1 training during each session.

Whilst on the course you will receive training hand-outs, lots of advice and tips and will also receive the prestigious Kennel Club puppy foundation certificate and rosette on completion.

As this is such an important stage in your puppy's development you will be very welcome to come and view one of our classes prior to booking. Please call Helen and Martin on 01865-450760
