Intermediate/Advanced Classes


(For dogs that have achieved the Bronze Level Award)

 The aim of Headington Dog Training Intermediate/Advanced class is to teach you to train your dog to be a happy, obedient and sociable pet.


Using kind and gentle methods, we will show you how to :

                   Walk your dog under control on a public highway

       Get your dog to walk beside you on a loose lead with distractions

       Teach your dog to greet people in a controlled manner

       Get them to stay in one place for up to 2 minutes whilst handler is out of sight

       Get your dog to return to your side, whilst avoiding distractions

       Teach your dog good food manners (not to steal or beg)

       Walk your dog off-lead beside you

       Stop the dog in an emergency situation

       Teach your dog to be content when left in isolation

      Train your dog to achieve the Kennel Club Good Citizen Silver and Gold Awards

 When and where?


Advanvced classes are at 8.30pm to 9.25pm on Monday evenings. Intermediate classes are at 8.30pm to 9.25pm on Wednesday evenings at Old Headington Village Hall, Headington, Oxford
