Beginners Training Classes

This class is for vaccinated dogs who are over the age of 7 months when the course starts.

The Beginners course lasts for 7 weeks. Each of the 7 sessions are 55 minutes long, with week 5 being a fun night comprising of tunnels and small jumps.

Using kind and gentle methods, we will show you how to:

Control your dog at gates or doorways using a “wait” and “call to heel” command.
Teach your dog to walk beside you without pulling
Get your dog to stay in one place whilst moving away for a set period of time
Teach your dog to come back to you when you call them (recall)
Prevent your dog from jumping up at other people
Get your dog to focus on you when other dogs and people are in
close vicinity
Leave an item of food on command
Get them to go through a training tunnel and over a small jump on command
Train your dog to achieve the Headington Dog Training
