HEADINGTON DOG TRAINING ESTABLISHED IN 1981

Established in the early 1980’s, Headington Dog Training has been running classes ever since. Formally known as Headington Dog Training School, founding member the late Joyce Allen led the dog training classes until 2012, when Helen and Martin joined and continued training people and their dogs.

Helen Stroudley is a qualified dog trainer. With over 20 years’ experience, she is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK (APDT - membership number 01232) and a professional trainer for Canine Assisted Learning (CAL), who help train dogs for schools.

Martin Stroudley is a qualified Instructor and Assessor for the Academy of Dog Training and Behaviour (ADTB). Martin has over 40 years’ experience in dog training and leads the regular dog training classes, as well as offering 1 to 1 support on more complex training and behavioural issues.

Trevor Bateman is an assistant dog trainer and has been with the team for the past 10 years. A qualified dog first aider, Trevor also offers those extra pair of hands that are always needed in a busy class!

Ralph Stroudley was our dog. He was a miniature Poodle/Beagle cross and had been with us since 2011. Ralph was the resident dog for our classes and regularly came to classes for demonstrations helping other dogs with socialisation. He was qualified up to Advanced level (Kennel Club Gold award) and was a valued member of the team.  Sadly Ralph passed away last August at the age of 12.
